A rat sits perched atop a metal jug that is adorned with a cluster of redcurrants, which are also scattered below on a vintage book labeled "Fables of La Fontaine." To the right, a small, whimsical figure appears to be floating toward a glass jar, while another tiny figure is visible inside the jar, evoking a scene from a fairy tale. On the surface surrounding these items are seashells, a pocket watch, and a tiny bell, adding to the still life's nostalgic and fantastical ambiance.
